Golf Board Establishes
Timeline to Improve Clubhouse
The City of
Pierre Golf Board held a special meeting March
18 to discuss and draft a tentative project
timeline for the clubhouse improvements they
wish to make. The Board also recommended that
the City develop the request for proposal
document that will enable the use of local
contractors in a design to build project. City
staff is in the process of designing the request
for proposals.
The Board will
meet again on April 7 at the course maintenance
shop. Discussion will center on a policy for
implementing a special tournament fee with such
fee deposited in the clubhouse improvement fund.
Since 2008 memberships are already being sold,
the Board felt no additional membership fee
should be assessed this year but will consider
some type of additional fee to be implemented in
2009 with such fee to help service debt on the
clubhouse improvement project. The Board will
also discuss forming a sub-committee to assist
with private fundraising and special events.

open to the public.
