Brown and Brown Claim Ladies Evening Scramble

Stalley and Byrum take Net Honors

                The mother and daughter team of Pat and Lindsey Brown won the Ladies Match Play League June scramble tournament, besting the field of 20 two-woman teams.  The Browns shot a 3-under 33 in the 9-hole tournament to claim the title.  Teri Ellenbecker and Mary Todd carded a 1-under to take second place and Carol Van Roeckel and Nancy Berg finished third in the gross division.

Jennifer Stalley and Lois Byrum took net honors after turning in 1-under round.  Kathy Christenson and Lana Laurenz carded an even par 36 to claim 2^nd place in the net division and Karen Zakahi and Kay Agena teamed for third place.

The Ladies Match Play League hosts 9-hole evening tournaments on the third Thursday of each month during the season.  The next tournament is scheduled for Thursday, July 20^th .   You do not need to be a member of the Ladies Match Play League or Hillsview Golf Course to play in these tournaments.  Tournament tee times begin at 5:30.  If you are interested in playing, please contact Jennifer Stalley at 224-1610.
