Ten Eyck and Otterness Claim HLGA Best Ball Tournament

Lindsey Brown Takes Individual Honors in Ladies Club Championship

Gaytha Ten Eyck and Alta Otterness teamed up to win the Hillsview Ladies Golf Association’s 2-woman best ball tournament on Saturday, July 23rd.  Ten Eyck and Otterness combined for an 18-under round of 53 to outpace the field of 13 teams.  Jennifer Stalley and Seanna Regynski took runner-up honors with a 14-under 57.  Pat and Lindsey Brown teamed up to card a 58 for the round and take third place.  Kay Agena and Roberta Williams shot a 60 to claim fourth place.

Individual honors on selected holes during the best ball tournament went to:

Kay Anderson aced the par-3 Hole #8 during the tournament.  Anderson used an 8-iron to cover the 88-yard hole in a single stroke.  Anderson’s partner, Kay Tobin, Jan Elsing and Barb Wood witnessed the hole in one.

On Sunday, July 23rd, the Association crowned its ladies stoke place champion.  Lindsey Brown carded a two-round total of 153 to claim the Hillsview Ladies Club Championship and lead the field of twelve golfers.  Kathy Christenson shot a two-round total of 164 to take second place and Jennifer Stalley claimed third in the championship flight with a 168.

Kay Tobin took honors in the first flight of the stroke play championship with a two-round total of 186.  Seanna Regynski claimed second place in the flight with a 198 and Kay Agena placed third in the flight with a two-round total of 200.

The Hillsview Ladies Golf Association will host its annual stroke play invitational on Tuesday, August 2nd at Hillsview Golf Course.   For more information contact the clubhouse at 224-6191.
